Water-Re is the water and wastewater arm of the SFW Group. We draw the system, cut the steel, weld the tank, test it, and put our name on the side of it. There is no reseller in the middle, and there is nobody to point at when something needs sorting out.
A fabrication shop that got good at water.
Southern Fabrication Works has been building industrial food processing equipment in Burley since 1998. Wash lines, conveyors, tanks, the stainless that runs a potato plant. Over the years the same customers kept coming back with a different problem: not the line itself, but the water leaving it.
So we built equipment for that too. Water-Re is where that work lives now, and the people doing it have been at water treatment specifically for more than a decade. The advantage of coming at it from the shop floor rather than from a catalogue is that we design around what can actually be built, installed and maintained, not around what looks tidy on a drawing.

Most of the industry subcontracts at least two of these. Keeping them together is what lets us change a design on Tuesday because of something we found on site on Monday.
Engineering and design
Your system gets drawn here, sized against your actual flow and solids rather than a catalogue model number. If it needs to be a different shape to fit your building, that is a drawing change, not a problem.
Certified welding
Certified welders working stainless every day. On equipment that holds process water in a food plant, the weld quality is not a detail, it is the whole service life of the tank.
CNC machining and forming
Cutting, forming and machining on our own equipment, down to vacuum moulding our own plate packs. It is also why the replacement part you need in year six gets made here rather than chased through a supplier.
Testing, installation and service
Equipment is tested before it leaves. Then we install it, commission it, and carry the parts. The engineer who sized it is the one you get on the phone two years later.
Nobody gets to say it is the other guy’s part.
When the tank, the pump, the controls and the chemistry come from four different suppliers, a problem in the middle belongs to nobody. Everyone is technically right and your line is still down.
We would rather own the whole thing. That is the real reason we fabricate instead of reselling, and it is the reason we also supply the coagulant and polymer that feed the equipment we built.
